£60,000 Ford Fiesta Prototype On Test
A batch of prototypes like this one were built by Ford last year at a cost of over £60,000 each.
They were tested for durability under severe conditions designed to accelerate the wear rates and show up any potential weaknesses.
Only after covering a distance equivalent to 200,000 miles was the car passed out as ready for production.
