FORD'S FUEL ECONOMY FIESTA
Research Vehicle Investigates the Future
Ford's FERV (Fuel Economy Research Vehicle) Programme is investigating every aspect of fuel conservation in Fiesta-based saloons. Changes to the front end and the addition of a rear spoiler reduce drag by 10 per cent, while engine and transmission matching to "longer" gearing give further economy improvements.
