Readers' Choice
Ford Fairmont and Ford Fiesta were voted the most significant new American and imported cars for 1978 in a poll of more than 10,000 readers of Car and Driver magazine who chose from among five imports and five domestic cars.
Announced in the magazine's April issue, the awards were presented to Walter S. Valla (right), Ford Motor Company vice president and Ford Division general manager, by David E. Davis, Jr., Car and Driver publisher-editor.
