These gallant young Scouts, with eight others, in three teams of four, pushed this Fiesta to a World Record for car pushing of 71 miles 445 yards in 24 hours in teeming rain around the Ingliston short circuit. Their average speed was 2.969 m.p.h. and their fastest lap took 8 min. The lap record at Ingliston is held by the late Gerry Birrell, at 47.7 sec., 77.74 m.p.h. in a March 722 in 1972.
