Die Scheinwerfer-Batterie an der Front, die dicken Backen an den Flanken und die doppelten Streifen bis ins Heck: Dieser Fiesta sieht aus, als käme er direkt von der Piste. Aus dem sportlich angehauchten, aber auch recht seltenen "X" hat Christian Schäfer einen echten Hingucker gemacht.
1991 hatte er den Wagen in der Tageszeitung entdeckt: "Fiesta 1.1, 70 PS, Alu mit 185/60,..." -der Kenner wusste sofort Bescheid: Es konnte sich eigentlich nur um einen "X" handeln. Letzte Zweifel wurden beim Besichtigungstermin ausgeräumt: Es war tatsächlich die vom Werk angebotene Sportversion, die damals Polo GT oder Autobianchi A112 Paroli bieten sollte. Dazu gab es von der Zweitbesitzerin vier RS-Stahlsportfelgen mit Winterreifen sowie die Info, dass der Ford schlecht anspringt und während der Fahrt ruckelt. Christian machte den Deal perfekt - mit den richtigen Zündkerzen und neu eingestelltem Vergaser lief der Vierzylinder wieder einwandfrei. Die braune Velours-Ausstattung war ebenfalls gut.....
